Contributing to education at home in Ecuador

The Ecuadorian National Research and Educational Network, CEDIA and its Academy Area with the Continuous Training School, trains about 2,500 teachers, researchers and ICT staff from the country’s Universities, Institutes and Colleges, per year. Training covers more than 20 topics including technology and research and innovation.

During the pandemic health emergency more than 20 thousand people have participated in training session from home in various fields.

Additionally, because of the pandemic, CEDIA launched an initiative called, a platform with free access to all. The platform provides virtual education resources, mainly for home education during the health emergency, enabling teachers, students and the rest of the community to develop useful educational content for online training: didactic modules, methodological-oriented content, technology platforms and software.

This project provides the academic community with Open Educational Resources and tools that enhance the University at Home.
